Born and raised in London, England Richard began playing the piano by ear at eight years of age and by fifteen was playing in pubs and bars. At seventeen he was playing on the function circuit performing at private parties, weddings and corporate events.
Having a passion for many different genres and styles of music, he found that he gravitated more towards the music of New Orleans, Soul, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Boogie Woogie and Rhythm and Blues and since specialises in these genres. With his own unique stylings of songs from across the decades, Richard continues to travel the globe sharing his music with audiences around the world.
